Cariad Care delivers specialist crisis intervention and stabilisation support for children and young people with complex needs.


We work in close partnership with local authorities and professionals to provide consistent, relational support that stabilises placements, reduces risk, and creates pathways forward.

Specialist Support Packages

Our specialist support packages provide bespoke support for children and young people who require a dedicated package of support. Every package is tailored to the individual, creating a safe, supportive and stable environment that promotes positive outcomes while responding to their unique needs.

Individualised Support

Developing tailored support around each child or young person's individual needs, experiences, background and aspirations, providing the right support at the right time to help them achieve positive outcomes. 

Continuity of Care

We carefully match and maintain a stable team around each child or young person wherever possible, reducing changes in staffing to provide familiarity, consistency and emotional safety. 

24-Hour Support

Providing dedicated support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring children and young people receive the support they need, whenever they need it. 

Positive Routines & Structure

Creating warm, nurturing environments that provide consistency, reassurance and a sense of belonging. 

Multi-Agency Partnership

 Periods of crisis and uncertainty can be overwhelming for children and young people. That's why our specialist teams respond quickly with trauma-informed, relationship-led support, tailored to the individual needs of each child or young person, helping to create stability, reduce risk and build the trusted relationships that make lasting positive change possible.


Our crisis intervention support can include:

  • Rapid Response – Timely intervention when a child or young person is at risk of placement breakdown, escalating behaviours or emotional crisis.
  • Tailored Support Packages – Bespoke, trauma‑informed support shaped around the unique needs, experiences and strengths of each child or young person, helping them regain stability, reduce risk and rebuild confidence
  • Placement Stabilisation – Identifying and understanding the underlying needs of each child or young person, developing tailored support strategies that reduce risk, strengthen placements and help create lasting stability.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration – Working closely with local authorities, professionals, carers and families to deliver a coordinated, child‑centred response that ensures continuity, clarity and shared understanding.
  • Transition Support – Helping children and young people navigate changes in placements, education or care with consistency, reassurance and confidence, during periods of change.

 Our restorative support service is designed to restore placement stability by identifying emerging needs early and delivering practical, solution-focused support that helps children and young people remain safely supported within their placements. Through tailored interventions, we work to reduce the risk of placement breakdown, strengthen existing support networks and create the conditions for positive, lasting outcomes.


Our restorative support can include:

  • Restoring Placement Stability – Identifying and understanding the factors affecting stability and developing practical strategies that reduce risk and strengthen placements.
  • Residential Home Support – Working alongside residential teams to provide tailored support that promotes consistency, stability and positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Foster Placement Support – Supporting foster carers with practical strategies and guidance to help maintain stable, nurturing placements.
  • Wraparound Family Support – Working with families and wider support networks to strengthen relationships, build resilience and help prevent placement breakdown wherever appropriate.
  • Education & Engagement Planning – Supporting engagement with education, training and other meaningful opportunities that contribute to long-term placement stability.

Whether moving to a new placement, returning home or preparing for greater independence, we work alongside children, young people and professionals to ensure every transition is carefully planned, well supported and focused on achieving positive, lasting outcomes.


Our transition support can include:

  • Transition Planning – Developing tailored plans that prepare children and young people for changes in their care, living arrangements or future pathways.
  • Step-Down Support – Helping children and young people move towards less intensive support when they are ready, ensuring continuity and stability throughout the process.
  • Reunification Support – Working alongside families and professionals to support planned reunification where this is in the child's best interests.
  • Preparing for Independence – Helping young people develop the confidence, practical skills and support networks they need as they move towards greater independence.
  • Multi-Agency Coordination – Working closely with local authorities, education providers, health professionals, families and other professionals to ensure every transition is well planned and fully supported.
