Cariad Care delivers specialist crisis intervention and stabilisation support for children and young people with complex needs.


We work in close partnership with local authorities and professionals to provide consistent, relational support that stabilises placements, reduces risk, and creates pathways forward.

Crisis Intervention

We provide swift and responsive support for young people experiencing placement instability, elevated risk, or emotional distress.


Our teams work to:

  • Establish the immediate safety and stability factors for children and young people whilst developing plans to promote emotional safety and well-being build trusted relationships
  • Reduce escalation and placement breakdown
  • Create predictable and consistent care environments

Stabilisation Support

Following crisis, our focus shifts to helping young people regain a sense of emotional safety and day-to-day stability.


This includes:

  • Relationship-led care
  • Emotional regulation support
  • Structured daily routines
  • Education and engagement planning
  • Life-skills development
  • Therapeutic interventions

Assessment and Understanding

Assessment and Understanding

During support packages, our teams develop an informed understanding of the young person’s needs, strengths, risks, and support requirements.


We contribute to:

  • Behavioural and emotional observations
  • Risk management planning
  • Care planning
  • Safety planning
  • Multi-agency communication
  • Placement review discussions
  • Monitoring of measurable outcomes to support progression

Cariad provides flexible, high-support staffing packages, including:

  • 2:1 support
  • 3:1 support
  • 4:1 support
  • Days, waking nights and sleep in provision
  • Short-term intensive support
  • Whole family support
  • Support within the family home to maintain relationships and prevent breakdown of family home dynamics


All support is built around assessed need, risk, and outcomes for the young person.
